Teenagers have always been the ones that are stereotyped to be the only people that are addicted to their handphones. It is true that most of us rely on our phones a lot, is it true that we are the only ones that are addicted to our phones?
Recently I read in the news about an old lady. She was interview about her 'relationship' with her phone. What she said shocked me, she said "My phone is more important than my wallet." Usually aunties like this old lady spend most of her time shopping in the market or the shopping mall, logically her wallet would be the most important thing to her. However she said that her phone is more important than her
wallet therefore from this we can see that her addiction to her phone is much worse than most of us. When asked what would she do if she left her phone behind when she went out to somewhere far away and had already reached the destination. She answered that she would immediately go back to retrieve her phone. It seems like she cannot live without her phone.
Teenagers are not the only ones addicted to the phone, we are just more tech savy than other age groups.

Inception
Recently, a movie that came out topped the charts in many countries including America and Singapore. That movie is Inception. The movie is basically revolving around the concept that humans can enter someone else's dream to steal ideas. There are a group of people who were dedicated to doing this as a job. One day, an offer that is very challenging, inception, is given to this group of people and if the merry band manages somehow to achieve the feat, Cob could be reunited with his family in America.
However he has a very dark past with his late wife, Molly, and his memory of Molly would give Cob's plans away when he is in another man's dreams to steal the man's secret. 'Molly' would jeopardize Cob's final job and therefore Cob is forced to confront his darkest memories of Molly.
This movie would be a very increasing one if you understand the plot and the concept. It also leaves you some food for thought which is always nice to see in a movie. I recommend this movie to everyone who likes science fiction and anyone who is looking for a great movie.

Significant blog post 2
This is my second significant blog post, and it is about the oil supply.
A few hours ago, I saw a video on discovery channel about how the world would have
absolutely no oil reserves left in 2016. Thats 6 years from now. The price of oil has increased to a sky-high pice and it would cost more money to drive to the supermarket than buying in the supermarket. Saudi Arabia was now the superpower instead of the United States because of the abundance of black gold there. People were 'fighting' for oil and occasionally some fist fights happened and got a few people killed.
As the last drop of oil was used up, the whole world had no electricity and nothing could be done properly without electricity. People started panicking and finally perished due to lack of food.
Nature has finally fought back against the humans after around 140 years of submission. Human abused the Earth too much and in the end they paid the price.
But how do we prevent this? Firstly, we must first recognize that the Earth do not have an infinite supply of oil for us to consume. Secondly, we must acknowledge the dire consequences if we do not do anything now. Thirdly, we must act, by reducing our consumption of electricity. eg. Off the lights when not using, do not on the air-con for the whole night.
It is not too late for us to salvage the situation. If we try to slow down the process of using up our limited supply of oil, scientist may find a new alternative that can replace oil to supply power to our homes.

Bridge
I don't know how many of you play bridge , but those of you who knows, you will understand that bridge is a very complicated game. For those beginners, you might think that bridge is a game of luck and whoever gets the best set of cards wins.
I would like to clarify on this statement, bridge is not a game of luck. It is a game of deduction and about tricking the opponent to thinking that you have this set of cards but you really have another set( I never tried this before). Actually the better your cards are, the harder for you to win. This is because you will have to bid higher in order to have any hope of winning.
Anyways, the exam is over. :) I play bridge with my relatives till midnight. Although I win most of the time, I did not get any money cause my Mum does allow me to bet(zz). Oh well, I guess it is for my own good.
Ok I have to go, good luck for your test results. XD

Significant blog post
Recently, there has been an earthquake at Hati. This reminds me of the earthquake that happened last year. Last year at around April, a terrible natural disaster happened in China. A lot of people died and buildings were demolished in seconds.
Luckily, many kind souls stepped up and lent a helping hand to the unfortunate. Thus they had hope. Hope is very important as it is hope that provides us with the strength to move on with our lives. If we have no hope, we will not have the will to survive. By giving the survivors of the earthquake hope, we are actually giving them live.
This year, yet another unfortunate earthquake happened. Many perished and building crumbled in the Mother Nature's Wraith. This time many more helping hands came, and soon the survivors would be living properly again, although they will never forget this faithful incident.
From this 2 incidents, we learn that we must help others when we can, because when we are in need, we know they will help us too.

Start of the new year
This is the first blog post of the year and I seriously do not know what say. Anyways, I think i am going to write about how i started the year(very boring...).
This is my second year in Hwa Chong. I am no longer a sec 1,a freshman, but I am a sec 2(yay?). On the first day of school, I saw the sec 1s march onto the field to symbolize that they have joined the school, and they are a part of Hwa Chong. It was a weird feeling, almost like deja vu.
Then I went to my new class and saw the old tables(supposed to be new...). I sat down at the second last row.
Monday was seriously a very relaxing day, no lessons at all... And we had to appoint the new CMC. Zexel and Zan was nominated because they had leadership roles in their CCAs, as for Yuan Khai, I don't know. Zexel exclaimed that he did not want to be in the CMC, and told the teacher that he was very busy.
The teacher 'kindly' ignored him and even said that the three nominees would be reserved a place in the CMC, just that whether they would be the Chairman, Moniter or Secretary. So yea..
Then teacher ask them to go out of class because he did not want the nominees to start punching people for not voting for them or ,in Zexel's case, for voting them.(LOL)Then I thought I rather have someone I know as the Chairman rather than someone I don't know so I voted for Zexel.
In the end, even the teacher voted for Zexel =,= Zexel was pretty unhappy with it.
The next few days of school was also pretty 'slack'. (used inverted commas because did not want teacher to deduct my ace) We did a bit of teaching and the science class was pretty demanding.
The classroom's location is very good. Anytime of the day, there would always be strong gusts of wind blowing into our class. But since I was sitting at the second last row, I could only feel the wind on my legs. Zexel keep complaining about freezing but Reynold(sorry, dunno how to spell) keep complaining about how hot it is...
Ok, I don't feel like writing anymore, its getting boring. So bye bye.
